A Day at the Sherman Library and Gardens

Okay, well it was mostly at the Gardens and less at the Library.

This little garden oasis, right off the Pacific Coast Highway, in Newport Beach is easy to overlook. Passing by, you can’t hear the “quiet” of the Garden from PCH but once inside the wooded walls of The Garden, only the looming palm trees and infrequent car horn will remind you that you are in Newport Beach.

As for what the compact grounds hold, it is impressive. In an area no bigger than a city block, there’s a small library, Cafe Jardin, and a wide variety of trees, plants and flowers. You can spend a great deal of time admiring it all or like we did, spent 90% of your time looking at the turtles and koi pod.
